Although Alvarez is tied to Atlético by a contract that extends until the summer of 2030, he could not assure fans of his continued presence at the club next season.

“I can’t say for sure; maybe I’ll be here, and maybe I won’t. I’m content and focusing on each day as it comes,” he remarked post-match.

Atlético’s head coach, Diego Simeone, expressed confidence in Alvarez’s happiness and performance, stating, “He seems to be enjoying himself. He’s scoring goals, and if you compare to his previous teams (River Plate and Manchester City), Atlético is where he’s netted the most.”
