Algeria’s Billal Brahimi Seals Landmark Move to Brazilian Giants Santos FC

Algeria international Billal Brahimi has ventured into new territory after completing a high-profile move to Brazilian giants Santos FC.

The 25-year-old winger signed a contract running until 2026, marking his first professional experience outside Europe.

His transfer comes weeks after parting ways with French side OGC Nice by mutual consent.

Brahimi previously featured for clubs including Middlesbrough, Brest, Sint-Truiden, Le Mans, Angers, and Nice.

He is now set to line up alongside global superstar Neymar at Santos.

“The attacker Brahimi is an international reinforcement for Santos in the 2025 season,” the Brazilian club confirmed in a statement.

Born in France but representing Algeria, Billal Brahimi debuted for the Desert Foxes in June 2022 against Uganda and has since earned four caps.

His arrival in Brazil makes him one of the few African players to join a South American powerhouse directly from Europe, underlining the growing global presence of African talent.
