Al Ahly Beat Zamalek To Clinch Record 16th Super Cup Title

Al Ahly once again proved why they remain the undisputed kings of Egyptian football, after beating rivals Zamalek 2-0 in the 2025 Egyptian Super Cup final at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Sunday evening.

The win handed Al Ahly their fifth straight Super Cup triumph and a record-extending 16th title overall.

It was former Zamalek forward Achraf Bencharki who delivered the opening blow just before halftime, finishing off a superb lofted pass from Ahmed Sayed “Zizo” in the 44th minute.

The goal marked his second strike against his former club since switching allegiance to Ahly earlier this year.

On the counter, Marwan Attia sealed the win for Al Ahly in the 72nd minute, calmly slotting home to secure the trophy.

Earlier in the day, Ceramica Cleopatra edged Pyramids FC 2-1 to finish third in the competition.

This year’s edition was the 23rd in the tournament’s history and the ninth hosted in the UAE.
