It has been rumored that Krafth, who is set to be out of contract in June, could be transferred to the Danish club, which is reportedly considering a move to secure him on a free transfer during the upcoming winter window.

Agent’s Statement

A spokesperson for the Swedish defender clarified to FotbolDirekt:

This situation is not applicable. While FC Copenhagen is indeed a respected club, the salary he earns is significantly higher than what any Scandinavian team can afford.

Furthermore, they added,

Newcastle also has no intention of releasing him at this time.

It appears that Krafth is not keen on forfeiting the remaining six months of his lucrative £55,000-per-week contract with Newcastle.
