Morocco has successfully joined Senegal and Mali in reaching the quarter-finals of the 35th African Cup of Nations. As the host nation faced off against Tanzania, they were heavily favored to win, but they had to wait until the 64th minute to score the decisive goal.

Brahim Díaz upheld his streak of scoring in every match with a stunning shot taken from a challenging angle, although the goalkeeper’s error contributed to the goal. Just moments before, a free-kick from him struck the crossbar, leading to an assist credited to Achraf Hakimi, who started his first match of the tournament.
