AC Milan Complicates AS Roma’s Pursuit of Josh Zirkzee

Roma’s Negotiations with Manchester United

AS Roma has been engaging in discussions with Manchester United concerning the unsettled Dutch forward, Josh Zirkzee, but these conversations have hit a standstill over contractual terms.

Loan vs. Transfer

The Roman club is aiming to establish a loan-to-buy agreement; however, United is firmly advocating for a direct sale this January. Zirkzee himself is open to a move, even though he has been getting a share of playing time in recent outings.

AC Milan’s Interest

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan’s sporting director, Igi Tare, is also keen on acquiring Zirkzee. Tare views him as a potential replacement for Santi Gimenez. Should Milan decide to sell Gimenez, Zirkzee would be Tare’s top priority to fill that role.
